Welcome to Upper-Bavaria's 1st "Kinderland Town"

On July 25, 2003, Ruhpolding became the first town in Upper Bavaria to be recognised as a “Kinderland Town” by Bavarian Tourist Marketing.

Many criteria have to be met before a community can boast the title of a “Kinderland Town”. These include prams for visitors to rent or borrow, child care, plus special kids’ meals at participating Kinderland restaurants.

In addition to maintaining high standards of quality, it is also especially important that families feel totally at ease and 100% welcome. With its hotels and restaurants, its recreational opportunities and pristine countryside, this is a goal that lies close to the heart of the Ruhpolding community.
