Unternberg Ski Area

Pure skiing fun, both day and night in Ruhpolding’s ski and snowboard centre. The newly installed snowmaking and floodlighting equipment on the Unternberg makes it all possible!  Superbly groomed slopes ensure care-free skiing fun beyond compare! And what better way to cap off a successful day of skiing, than with the high-spirited delights of après-ski.  In our inns and bars, from the mountaintops to the valleys below, you’ll have convivial companionship until the “wee hours” of the morning.

Westernberg Ski Lift

A superbly groomed practice hill at the entrance to Ruhpolding.  The snowmaking equipment ensures that we can offer you top-quality slopes from the beginning of December until well into March. With our ski kindergarten and children’s lift, the youngsters have an exceptional opportunity to learn to ski at an early age.  And so, too, do the adults, with a great ski school, including a ski and snowboard rental centre, located right by the ski lifts themselves.  So, why not treat yourself to a winter’s day spent at the Westernberg!

Ski School Area, Maiergschwendt

This is the ideal setting in which to get a true feel for your ski equipment.   The ski school also makes its lifts and hills available to the Bobo KinderClub, where the youngsters are given a fun-filled opportunity to pick up the basics.

Winklmoos – Steinplatte Ski Area

Total skiing pleasure, just a few minutes’ drive from Ruhpolding.  From December until Easter, a ski area with some of the most reliable snow conditions in all of Europe, with over 20 km of superbly groomed slopes.  Because of its mixture of easy and intermediate hills, this ski area is especially suitable for families and beginners. If you are looking to get the maximum out of your skiing experience, the combo ticket for both the Winklmoos & Steinplatte ski areas gives you 44 km of groomed hills, 28km of slopes serviced by snowmakers, a fun/snow park, 12 ski lifts.

Ruhpolding Cross-Country & Skating School

Here, under professional guidance, you will learn the quieter side of winter sports.  The school offers courses for beginners and intermediate skiers, along with adventure tours, tours utilising skating technique and, undoubtedly the absolute highlight, their Guest Olympics, a combination of biathlon, ice stock (similar to curling) and small-calibre shooting.
