Ruhpolding "Rauhnacht" Market

Every year between Christmas and New Years Eve, rather than holding a Christmas Market, Ruhpolding hosts its popular "Rauhnachts Market".

As part of the festivities, the Kurpark is transformed into its own mystical world, where local craftsmen and farmers present their products.  No one goes hungry either, with country doughnuts, bratwurst and bosna sausage – all washed down with spicy mulled wine.  An events program in keeping with the event, brings the ancient “Rauhnacht” customs back to life, while the musical entertainment for this Christmas market is provided by local performers.
